Pocketing Glass Sliders: Bringing the Outdoors In

Few features capture the Southwest Florida lifestyle quite like pocketing glass slider doors. These expansive glass doors open wide to create an uninterrupted flow between your indoor living area and your lanai, letting you fully embrace Florida’s year-round sunshine.

Unlike traditional sliding doors—where one panel simply slides in front of another—pocketing sliders tuck neatly into a niche in the exterior wall, disappearing from indoor view when opened. This creates a smooth, open transition and a true indoor-outdoor connection that defines modern coastal living.

How Pocketing Sliders Differ from Traditional Sliding Doors

Traditional sliders are a practical, familiar choice, but their panels remain visible even when open, leaving part of the doorway covered. Pocketing sliders, on the other hand, clear the entire opening to create a wide, unobstructed view of your outdoor living space.

The result is:

• A completely open wall that extends your living area outdoors
• Natural light that brightens interior spaces throughout the day
• Continuous airflow that makes the most of Southwest Florida’s breezes
• Effortless entertaining that connects your kitchen, great room, and lanai

Built for Southwest Florida

Every pocketing glass slider installed in a Sposen Home is impact-rated and engineered to meet or exceed Florida Building Code standards. These systems handle local wind pressures while maintaining smooth, easy operation and strong energy efficiency.

Because the panels retract into a dedicated exterior niche, rather than into the wall itself, they offer:

• Simplified maintenance with accessible tracks and rollers
• Improved durability through better weather protection and water management
• A cleaner finish that complements both modern and coastal architectural styles
